Law Firm Receptionist / Office Administrator

Bedford, MK40 1HA

Salary – £12.25 per hour

Full time role – 36.25hrs per week

Office based

We're looking for a receptionist and office administrator to join our firm as we go through a period of organic growth. The role will be integral to the day to day operation of our firm. You will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks.

This role will offer exposure to a wide range of clients and legal matters, and is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced administrator looking for their next position. Or perhaps someone who has just finished their education (or on a gap year) with a focus on law and legal proceedings, looking for their first industry role.

You'll be part of a friendly and supportive team here at Palmers. Our working hours are 08.45 – 17.00, with a 1 hour lunch break.

What will your role look like?

You will be responsible for:

* Managing the reception and switchboard duties; answering telephone calls and emails. Forwarding them to the relevant departments/people
* Welcoming clients and visitors, and maintaining a professional front of house service
* Overseeing office administration; ordering of stationary and equipment. Handling incoming and outgoing mail and couriers.
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
* Maintain an organised filing system for documents and records
* General ad-hoc administration duties of an office environment

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

* Previous administration experience (or receptionist experience) would be beneficial
* Previous educational experience within the field of law would be advantageous
* Excellent verbal communication and telephone manner
