Job Summary Our client are seeking a full-time Warehouse Supervisor to join their well-established, family-run SME in Alton. The role is responsible for supervising the warehouse team and ensuring goods are received, picked, packed and dispatched accurately, safely and on time. You will allocate daily workload, create SOPs and ensure they are followed, support training and onboarding, and help resolve day-to-day operational issues. The role will also support other areas of Operations as required, including goods inwards, replenishment, manufacturing and packaging/banding. Duties * Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including materials handling, shipping, and receiving * Lead and manage warehouse staff, fostering a productive and safe working environment * Oversee the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations * Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, order processing, and stock movements * Implement process improvements to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce operational costs * Coordinate logistics activities with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely deliveries and pickups * Maintain accurate records using systems such as AS400 for inventory management and reporting * Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce health & safety policies within the warehouse * Assist wi...
