Role Overview: As a Primary TA, you will assist the class teacher with delivering lessons, supporting pupils individually and in groups, and contributing to the overall learning atmosphere. Your role will be key in promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and well-being within the classroom. Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant: Support the delivery of engaging lessons and learning activities. Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning. Provide assistance to pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN or EAL. Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Encourage pupil participation and foster a positive learning attitude. Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and general administrative tasks. Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant: Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable. A patient, positive, and flexible approach to working with children. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
