We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support end-to-end operational accounting activities within a fast-paced freight forwarding and supply chain environment. This role plays a key part in managing supplier costs, resolving billing discrepancies and supporting revenue and financial close processes while working closely with global teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
How you create impact
1. Process all incoming costs against the supplier accounts. UK domestic charges, charges from the EU and rest of the world suppliers.
2. Supplier statement management ensuring all items on the statement are processed to ensure smooth payments to the service providers
3. Manage cost matching and dispute charges where billed incorrectly vs the supplier rate cards. Log, manage and resolve queries
4. Process independent contractor supplier costs and coordinate monthly payments
5. Manage IATA airline resolutions
6. Manage Customs deferment accounts
7. Work with global shared services to ensure all steps in the cost throughput process are complete on a periodic basis
8. Support forwarding subledger queries and assist with closing the P&L files on a regular basis
9. Manage customer billing as assigned to manage the end to end process in a dynamic manner
10. Support Revenue Care Team lead to improve the operational finance process
What we would like you to bring
11. Proven track record of working in operational accounts payable function
12. Relevant industry experience in freight forwarding and supply chain environment
13. A problem solver with a can do approach who is able to work independently
14. Good analytical and excel ability
15. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
