Purpose of the Role
The Marketing Assistant will support the delivery of JIG UK Ltd's marketing strategy by providing hands-on assistance across digital, print, and event marketing activities. This role ensures that all marketing campaigns are executed effectively, brand guidelines are maintained, and customer engagement is maximised through high-quality content, market research, and campaign coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Campaign Support
* Assist in planning, creating, and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns.
* Coordinate with suppliers, designers, and external agencies to meet deadlines and maintain brand standards.
* Monitor campaign performance and report on results.
2. Digital Marketing
* Provide updates and website content to website manager.
* Schedule and post content across social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, etc.).
* Assist with email marketing campaigns, including drafting copy and building templates.
3. Content Creation & Photography
* Capture high-quality photographs of products, events, and team activities for marketing use.
* Write and proofread marketing copy for online and offline channels.
* Edit and optimise images for digital and print channels.
* Write and proofread marketing copy for online and offline channels.
* Source and edit video content for promotional purposes.
* Assist in the creation of brochures, flyers, and presentations.
4. Event Coordination
* Assist in planning, promoting, and delivering company events, exhibitions, and trade shows.
* Coordinate event logistics including stand materials, promotional items, and delegate packs.
* Attend trade shows and events are required to support sales and marketing.
5. Administration & Reporting
* Maintain marketing files, photo and image libraries, plus campaign calendars.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principles.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Experience with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Desirable:
* Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot).
* Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
* Previous marketing, communications, or admin experience.
