YOUR ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and skilled Warehouse Solution Design Engineer at our automotive site in Solihull.
This role will involve linking all onsite material planning and logistics activities in line with CEVA functional teams to deliver project requirements. You will respond and effectively plan for changes in the supply chain caused by demand variances, costs, or customer challenges.
This pivotal role is based at our Solihull operation, Monday to Friday. Flexibility in working hours and days is required depending on project needs; therefore, weekend work may be necessary.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting to the Senior Planning Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
* Calculating the volumes and flows of parts throughout the operation (PREP).
* Conducting regular resource planning to identify and fulfill resources and skills required to meet business needs and objectives.
* Designing parts layout in the warehouse and lineside environments considering LEAN methodologies.
* Working with production and operational teams to identify suitable delivery methods.
* Providing detailed logistics support at the customer's request.
* Benchmarking and reviewing current operations to ensure a best-in-class service.
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
* Supporting the development of the planning master schedule.
* Supporting ERP system development, testing, and reporting issues.
* Ensuring the timely delivery of all projects, highlighting risks and providing solutions.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You should have proven experience working within a warehouse planning or solutions design role, with experience in designing and deploying operational improvements and projects. A strong understanding of operational layouts and warehousing or production environments, ideally within a fast-paced and changing environment, is essential.
You must be an excellent communicator and problem-solver, with a keen interest in continuous improvement, LEAN methodologies, or solutions design. Ability to build effective relationships at all levels, a strong customer ethos, and confidence in preparing and presenting statistical reports, data analytics, and operational plans are required. Proficiency in MS packages and software is necessary.
Experience with AutoCAD or MTM software is desirable but not essential.
