We are hiring a Sales Account Manager within the CPG vertical to deepen our relationships with medium to large advertisers and their agencies. This role requires strategic and consultative digital expertise to optimize value and impact for marketers. You will leverage Amazon’s proprietary data combined with third-party measurement tools to develop strategies across Amazon’s suite of upper and lower funnel products, aligning with your customer’s business and marketing goals. This role drives customer success through close partnership and innovation with Amazon sales, creative, operations, and product teams.
As a Sales Account Manager, you are passionate about advertising and solving complex business problems. You possess proven analytical skills and can develop data-led recommendations. Your goal is to maximize performance, drive campaign renewals, and identify incremental revenue opportunities. This client-facing role requires proven presentation and sales skills to challenge and educate our advertisers while driving revenue growth.
Key job responsibilities
1. Use knowledge of Amazon Ads full-funnel ad products and measurement to craft tailored proposals for customers.
2. Achieve or surpass revenue targets for your assigned book of business.
3. Meet non-revenue business objectives and goals.
4. Manage all aspects of the account management process for medium to large accounts and develop strategic relationships with key contacts.
5. Collaborate with the account team to develop annual brand and media strategies aligned with customer objectives.
6. Utilize first-party and third-party insights to build campaign recommendations that drive revenue or improve customer satisfaction.
7. Advocate for customers internally and leverage internal resources to ensure customer success.
8. Educate advertisers on performance metrics, category trends, and consumer insights using available data and insights.
Basic Qualifications
1. Experience in a client-facing role, including digital marketing and analytics.
2. Proven track record of delivering revenue results and contributing to customer success.
3. Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
4. Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
5. Ability to analyze large datasets and solve business and technical problems.
6. Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
7. Passion for continuous learning and skill development.
8. Located in or near an Amazon Ads sales office, or willing to relocate.
9. Ability to travel to customer offices as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in omni-channel marketing, display, OTT, and search marketing.
2. Experience in e-commerce sales or marketing.
3. Experience in revenue ownership roles.
