Hays are actively recruiting Mental Health Practitioners to work in a Childrens Service based in Barrow-in-Furness. The service is Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and full time and part-time block bookings available.
Your new role
1. To assume responsibility for management of a defined caseload using specialist knowledge and advanced clinical reasoning to undertake assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care programs for children and families, liaising with and referring to relevant agencies as appropriate.
2. To take an active role in the holistic assessment and treatment of young people who are presented to the service, with mental health problems and especially those that are at risk of, or have attempted deliberate self-harm.
3. Provide liaison with other professionals and agencies in order to provide effectivemunication, leading to aprehensive and integrated package of care around the young person, their families and/or carers.
4. To offer therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practice and in line with the NICE guidelines.
5. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of
children, young people and their families/carers.
6. To provide an assessment and therapy service based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and
integration ofplex data from a variety of sources, including psychological assessments, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations as well as interviews with children, young people and their families/carers.
What you'll need to succeed
7. RMN with current NMC registration
8. Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
9. Social Worker with professional registration
10. Drivers License
11. Punctual & reliability to work all shifts booked.
