Business Development Manager
Location: Sunbury (TW16)Salary: £30,000–£32,000 + Uncapped CommissionJob Type: Full-time, Permanent
I am working with a specialist logistics provider based in Sunbury that focuses on high-value furniture, artwork, and antiques. They support luxury interior designers, design furniture brands, art galleries, and private clients with premium storage, transportation, packing, and white-glove delivery services across the UK, Europe, and worldwide.
Role Overview
This business is seeking a motivated and commercially driven Business Development Manager to identify new opportunities, build long-term client relationships, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be proactive, target-focused, and confident when engaging both new and existing customers within the luxury, logistics, and design sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and pursue new business through prospecting, networking, and market research
* Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients
* Maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
* Understand client needs and offer tailored logistics solutions
* Prepare and deliver quotations, proposals, and presentations
* Negotiate commercial terms and close business agreements
* Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
* Record sales activity accurately using CRM systems
* Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
* Attend industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities as needed
Key Skills & Experience
* Experience in business development, sales, or account management
* Logistics, freight, or supply chain experience is advantageous but not essential
* Proven success in generating leads and securing new business
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
* Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven
* Comfortable working in a target-led, commission-based role
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
* Full UK driving licence preferred
