 
        Year 1 Learning Support Assistant Salary: £26824 - £29540 pro rata FTE (actual salary £6032-£6643) Part time. 9.75 hours per week, term time only. Wednesday - Friday (mornings: 8:45am -12:00pm) Temporary – until the end of the 25/26 academic year Monkspath School is looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Learning Support Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to join our friendly and experienced staff. The successful candidate will be supporting groups and individual children, including leading group interventions. This may involve providing one-to-one or small group support to children with additional needs and Education Health Care Plans as well as providing general support within the classroom environment. This role is primarily based in Year 1. The post holder will be supporting the high quality provision within our large primary school and will: • Have a passion for working with pupils • Have the ability and willingness to uphold and exemplify our whole school values and ethos • A proven, successful record of a range of teaching experiences in primary education, including supporting children with additional needs • Be flexible, proactive and work effectively as part of a team • Understand how children learn and be able to support their development with key literacy (including phonics), mathematics and personal skills • Have an excellent understanding of how to be an effective teaching assistant • Have high expectations and be able to inspire pupils in order to further enhance learning • Have an ambitious, reflective outlook and a commitment to continuous professional development and an interest in pedagogy • Be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent We can offer you: • Enthusiastic children who are well behaved and keen to learn • Support to develop professionally • A positive, vibrant, committed and hardworking group of staff who work exceptionally well together as a team • Friendly and supportive parents and governors.
