The Mechanical Technician Role As a Mechanical Technician, you will: Assemble and build mechanical equipment to engineering drawings. Support pre‑commissioning, testing, and fault‑finding activities. Identify correct tooling, ensure calibration, and report defects appropriately. Carry out visual inspections, snagging and rectification work in line with quality procedures. Work independently or as part of a team within a heavy engineering environment. What We’re Looking For To succeed as a Mechanical Technician, you’ll need: A time-served apprenticeship or relevant mechanical trade background. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience within a heavy engineering or workshop environment. Flexibility to support shift work, overtime, and occasional travel.
