Job Role: Support Worker
The Support Worker will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.
The Support Worker must have at least 6 months of experience in care and possess a compassionate attitude.
Support Workers assist with the day-to-day care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients' own residences. They are vital members of the healthcare team in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

As a Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Support Workers. Your duties may include:
1. Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
2. Assisting with meals and feeding
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
5. Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
6. Assisting patients with mobility
7. Helping patients to use the toilet and handling bedpans
8. Maintaining tidiness of wards or homes
9. Managing supplies and equipment
Your daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in training new healthcare assistants.
