Job Description

Our client is a highly regarded designer and manufacturer of bespoke, handcrafted furniture and joinery, creating exceptional pieces for both private residential and commercial interiors across London and the South-East.

Working closely with architects, interior designers and discerning private clients, they deliver beautifully crafted, made-to-order furniture and joinery solutions, from initial consultation through to design, manufacture and installation. Their portfolio includes luxury kitchens, wardrobes, studies, bedroom furniture, tables, chairs, cabinetry and bespoke joinery for high-end interiors.

They are now seeking an experienced and detail-focused Furniture & Joinery Draftsperson to join their talented team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for fine craftsmanship and technical precision to work on prestigious bespoke projects within a collaborative and creative environment. They are open to the role being either part-time or full-time.

The Role

Based in the office and working closely with the Workshop Manager and Project Manager, you will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings for client approval and workshop production, ensuring every detail is translated into exceptional finished pieces. A full driving licence and access to a car will be needed as the offices and workshop are not easily accessible via public transport

Key Responsibilities for the Furniture Designer are to:

  • Produce detailed technical drawings for bespoke joinery and furniture projects using AutoCAD
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Manager and Project Manager to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements
  • Prepare clear and precise drawing packages for client approval, production and installation
  • Maintain consistency, accuracy and attention to detail across all project documentation and specifications
  • Support the successful delivery of projects from concept through to manufacture

About You:

  • Previous experience within high-end joinery, bespoke furniture manufacturing or technical drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to produce accurate manufacturing drawings
  • SketchUp and able to create 3D renders would be helpful but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and clients

What's on Offer:

  • Salary of £33,000 - £37,000, depending on experience
  • Flexibility to work either full-time or part-time (salary pro-rata)
  • Pension scheme
  • 20 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays
  • Free on-site parking

If you have a passion for bespoke furniture and joinery, enjoy turning creative concepts into precise technical drawings and would like to be part of a business renowned for quality craftsmanship, we would love to hear from you.
