Our client, an established and forward thinking accountancy firm has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and ACCA qualified Accounting Skills Trainer to join their Learning and Development Team to shape, lead and deliver a comprehensive technical training strategy to support the development and progression of their technical team members. This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid and flexible working options, including flexibility on location in one of the firm's key offices. This role will involve once/twice weekly day travel to other offices across the Group. Key Responsibilities include: Develop and Lead the Training Strategy: Design and execute a comprehensive technical training programme for trainees and technical team members. Support Trainee Development: Guide early-career professionals through their first three years, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and workplace experience. Design and Deliver Engaging Training: Deliver interactive, hands-on training (virtual and in-person) that integrates core technical topics (e.g. VAT, bank reconciliations) with software applications Build Training Resources: Create walkthroughs, manuals, Loom videos, and digital content that explain both functionality and accounting rationale Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with client managers, heads of department, and the integration team to ensure training is aligned with client deliverables and firm objectives. Maintain Compliance Standards: Manage relationships with professional bodies and stay abreast of regulatory changes. Continuously Improve: Use feedback, engagement metrics, and training data to enhance and refine training content and delivery. Optimise External Resources: Promote and drive adoption of training tools and content. About you: We would like to hear from you if you are fully ACA/ACCA qualified. You will have a strong background in Accounting or Audit with hands-on experience in audit methodologies and accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP) Proven ability to design and deliver training programmes to technical teams Strong understanding of regulatory developments in the accounting and audit space Excellent communication and presentation skills and/or confident in delivering engaging training sessions to diverse audiences. Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Dext, Silverfin, CaseWare Ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and engaging way, both verbally and in writing Experience working with or understanding of professional accounting qualifications (AAT, CTA, ACCA, ICAEW) Strong IT skills, PPT, MS Office We would love to hear from you if you are in a similar role or looking to move into a training led role and are now considering your next move.
