We have a great opportunity for a CI Lead to join us at our Dairy Consumer Foods site in Ossett. Reporting to the Site Manager, the role of Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead is to be the CI champion for the plant. You will monitor and improve organisational processes with the aim of making them as efficient as possible. This is a Monday - Friday role, with some occasional requirement to work outside these hours.
Responsibilities:
1. Work collaboratively with all departments, the Plant Leadership Team, and our external partners in diagnostics, future state design, and implementation of the Plant Programme.
2. Assist in diagnostic analysis.
3. Identify and surface improvement opportunities with the CI Manager and plant teams.
4. Define initiatives to achieve future state targets across systems.
5. Create and support implementation plans for timely delivery.
6. Champion continuous improvement culture through coaching, mentoring, and influencing at all levels.
7. Support colleagues through change management and align with leadership on supporting staff.
8. Mentor and influence the Plant Leadership Team.
9. Facilitate education on continuous improvement principles and tools.
10. Organize training programs to foster deployment and capability building.
11. Ensure process and procedure consistency across regions.
12. Implement standard KPIs and performance management systems.
13. Support the development of a sustainable CI culture aligned with business strategy.
14. Support daily prioritization, decision-making, and escalation processes.
15. Confirm, document, train, and sustain new standards within governance frameworks.
16. Regularly review and adjust strategies as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in championing continuous improvement in manufacturing; experience in food manufacturing is beneficial but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills across functions and levels.
* Ability to see the bigger picture and develop effective CI strategies.
* Proven project management skills with practical knowledge of PM tools and techniques.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
