About the role
We’re looking for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join the Butlin’s Buffets Department based in Skegness. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager you will support kitchen operations, lead a large team of chefs, and step in during the manager’s absence.
Key Responsibilities
* Support running of the kitchen and lead a large team of chefs
* Monitor guest experience, monitor, and develop action plans for continuous improvement
* Handle stock control and review food presentation
* Deliver food cost budgets through effective menu planning, cooking to standards and specifications
* Account for food hygiene, health and safety standards in line with legislation and company policies
* Act as a role model for Butlin’s way of working, ensuring training schedules and performance development plans are in place for the team
* Support the main buffet restaurant serving guests on half‑board dining packages
* Maintain high standards in a fast‑paced, busy kitchen environment
Qualifications
* Level 3 Food Safety qualification or equivalent
* Experience in a similar level role with large volume turnaround
* Strong leadership, time‑management and organisational skills
* Financial acumen – ability to manage margins and control costs
* Confidence in leading a team to consistently deliver high standards
Working Hours
This role covers a 5‑day working week across 7 days, totalling 40 hours including evenings and weekends. The role does not include onsite accommodation. Applicants must be over 18.
