Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and demonstrate expertise in overseeing various projects from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. A CSCS card is essential and a driving licence.
Duties
* Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
* Collaborate with project stakeholders to review contracts, manage changes, and ensure all parties are aligned on project goals.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, enforce safety protocols, and maintain quality control.
* Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and construction documents to guide project execution.
* Manage project scheduling using to optimize resource allocation and workflow.
* Provide leadership and supervision to construction teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Assist in budgeting processes by providing accurate estimates for labor, materials, and equipment needs.
* Ensure effective communication between all team members, subcontractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
* Strong understanding of construction management principles including budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and quality control.
* Extensive experience in construction site management with a focus on safety regulations (OSHA).
* Ability to read drawings and schematics effectively for accurate project execution.
* Excellent supervisory skills with a proven track record of managing teams successfully.
* Strong analytical skills for project scheduling and resource management.
* Previous groundworks experience is essential.
