Senior Process Designer Location: Cumbria - Sellafield Site £35-41/hour Inside IR35 About the Project Join the Asset Care Project Delivery team, delivering critical process asset care across a portfolio of projects. Initially, you will focus on execution support, including as-built drawing updates for the HP Steam replacement project and other key site initiatives. This is a highly site-focused role providing engineering design support for projects in the execution phase, ensuring safe, reliable, and fully compliant outcomes. Role Overview As a Senior Process Designer, you will: Produce engineering design work packages (specifications, drawings, analyses, verifications) that meet legal, functional, and performance requirements. Support project execution directly on-site, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Deliver fit-for-purpose, fully integrated design solutions aligned with cost, schedule, and quality targets. Liaise with stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds, ensuring smooth communication and integration. Perform peer review/checking of reports, drawings, calculations, and supporting documentation. Knowledge & Expertise Experience in highly regulated industries, preferably nuclear. Proven ability to deliver safe, operable, and compliant design solutions. Skilled in producing design deliverables including specifications, technical reports, drawings, calculations, installation method statements, and risk assessments. Strong experience in multi-disciplinary design delivery teams. Essential Qualifications & Experience Degree in Process Engineering with a minimum of 2 years' design delivery experience, OR HNC/HND with 5 years' design delivery experience. Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience in peer reviewing technical outputs. Desirable Experience Experience within asset care delivery on operational facilities, supporting construction/installation/commissioning phases. Familiarity with Sellafield Practices, Processes, Engineering Standards, and Engineering Guides. Experience responding to Engineering Queries (EQs) and Fault Observations (FOs). Why Join?
