Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Provide effective clinical leadership to Forensic Practitioners and Healthcare Professionals.
2. Ensure high-quality, patient-focused care while meeting client KPIs.
3. Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for service improvement.
4. Oversee staffing levels, skill mix, and compliance with operational standards.
5. Act as a role model and mentor, promoting professional development.
6. Coordinate healthcare pathways for individuals involved in the criminal justice process.
7. Maintain a strong, on-site presence and communication with staff, patients, and external stakeholders.
8. Ensure service delivery is within the budget forecast for custody services.
9. Respond appropriately to capacity demands and patient dependency needs, ensuring safety at all times.
10. Share best practices and ensure staff compliance with MAST requirements.
11. Provide expert advice, support, and information to police, HCPs, and Forensic Practitioners, considering psychological/emotional needs.
12. Manage Clinical Leads, HCPs, FMEs, and Forensic Practitioner teams, ensuring effective staffing and rostering.
