Job Overview
Multiskilled Engineer – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasionally weekends) – £36,500 per annum at B1 2AX.
This role reports to the Hard FM Supervisor and is responsible for the day‑to‑day delivery of Hard FM services across the regional cluster, focusing on building services and fabric, managing contractors, and ensuring all maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with statutory and Sodexo requirements.
What You'll Do
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on M&E, plumbing and building fabric systems.
* Maintain plant and equipment including boilers, AHUs, FCUs, lighting, BMS, and control panels.
* Complete PPMs and statutory tasks in line with schedules and compliance requirements.
* Identify and resolve faults proactively, escalating where necessary.
* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and specialist service providers.
* Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety, Zero Harm, COSHH, and Safe Systems of Work.
* Update CAFM/CMMS systems (e.g. Maximo) and close work orders accurately.
* Support emergency response, business continuity and out‑of‑hours maintenance.
* Assist with small works, billable tasks and project activity.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* HND, NVQ or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services.
* IOSH Passport or CSCS Card.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical or mechanical building services.
* Strong knowledge of commercial building plant and systems.
* Fluent written and verbal English.
* Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CAFM/CMMS systems.
* Full, clean UK driving licence (21+).
* Fit and active, with a good health record.
* SC vetting clearance (or ability to obtain).
Desirable
* Property maintenance experience.
* Experience using Maximo or EZMax.
* Previous AP/CP appointment (Electrical, Boilers & Pressure Systems, WAH, Confined Spaces).
* Experience working with subcontractors.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations.
