When required to act in a supervisory capacity to ensure all duties of other cashiers are controlled in a manner which ensures total compliance with laws, regulations and the policies of the Group and minimises the risk of loss through error, negligence or fraud. Main Responsibilities To assist the Cashdesk Manger and in their absence deputise for them in the supervision and efficient operation of the cash desk. To compile and amend rotas when necessary to ensure that the cashdesk is adequately staffed at all times. In the absence of the Cashdesk Manager dealing with any staffing issues or queries that may arise. Assisting the Cashdesk Manager in the training and assessment of employees, supporting on probationary processes of new starters, input on and where required carry out employee reviews and appraisals and ensure the compilation of complete training records. Be a subject matter expert on the Company’s AML procedures and licence requirements. To monitor transactions and records to ensure that all regulations are complied with. To recognise situations where the reporting of a potential suspicious activity, problem gambling and suspicious transactions is required, and to ensure that the Casino’s Reporting Officer acts on the report. Carry out customer interactions and ensure appropriate follow up, reporting and actions are taken in line with the Safer Gambling Policy. Routine Cash Desk Duties Of A Cashier: Always observe the conditions and requirements of the Cashdesk Procedure Manual, Guidelines, policies, directives and provisions of relevant legislation. Ensure that all Company records and paperwork is accurately and comprehensively completed in accordance with Company procedures and accounting guidelines and reporting errors and omissions to your manager. Investigating queries from head office or in-house. Updating points/player tracking for customers. Maintaining all ATM’s. Processing all banking. Actively meet day-to-day customer service needs and respond appropriately to all queries. Positively support companywide customer service initiatives. Actively create a team environment and support other team members where possible. Keep management informed of major players and their transactions or of any unusual incident or event. Maintain a good working relationship with management and other departments within the Club. Report and refer to senior colleagues any unusual or major incidents of concern. Provide all visitors and members with the highest level of customer service to ensure that a unique guest experience is always achieved. Notify management immediately of any incident or circumstance which may result in a breach of the Gambling Act or Company’s rules and regulations or which may be subject to a formal report being made by the company. Regularly attend employee meetings and training events as and when required. Compliance with all relevant legislation is a crucial requirement of the role. In particular, Cashiers are expected to be knowledgeable about all Safer Gaming and Anti Money laundering requirements. Cashiers must undertake regular associated training and immediately raise any associated concerns with their line manager when on duty, as per the Metropolitan Gaming SG and AML policies. Who You Are Experience working at a cashdesk in a supervisory role. Banking or finance experience. Strongly numerate. Proactive approach. Good communication skills with peers and superiors. Organised and methodical. Upbeat and positive attitude. Exceptional customer service skills. A high level of personal integrity. A strong work ethic with a passion for exceeding expectations. Required Qualifications Possession of a Personal Functional License (or appropriate gaming licence) Maintain active licence status throughout employment Ensure and complete an internal annual licence verification process advising company and management immediately of any changes to personal licences status throughout the year Complete routine maintenance checks and payments in a timely manner in order to retain licenced status which permit you to undertake job role Desirable Skills Experience in a Casino Operation Competent in the use of Excel Please Note: You must be aged 18 or above and have the right to work in the UK
