We are recruiting to the support team of a young female customer who is based in Hatfield area of Doncaster. Our customer has autism and complex needs so we are looking for support workers who are patient and can plan new activities to keep her interested and engaged in the support.
Due to our customer having support needs with personal care, only female applicants can be considered for this role. This is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act. Other support needs include help with managing her home environment and meeting daily living needs, as well as accessing the community and engaging in local activities.
The customer is supported 24 hours a day, so you must be able to work a variety of shifts which will include evenings, weekends and sleepovers on a rota basis. Of course, there will be an opportunity to work with other customers here at Avalon if you are available to work more hours.
We would welcome applications from those looking for either full and part time hours. You don’t need to have any experience as our in-house training team will ensure that you have all the additional skills you need to deliver the role with confidence but you do need the drive and compassion to help our customers to live great lives.
