Job Title: Unqualified Teacher

Salary: £100 – £150 per day (depending on experience)

Are you an aspiring teacher or experienced educator without QTS looking to gain valuable classroom experience?
GSL Education are currently seeking confident and motivated Unqualified Teachers to work in schools across Darlington.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, instructors, cover supervisors, or industry professionals looking to step into teaching. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classrooms, and supporting students’ academic progress.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and key stages
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Adapt lesson content to meet the needs of different learners
* Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and engagement
* Support students with varying abilities, including those with SEND
* Maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment
* Supervise students during lessons and other school activities where required
* Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards
Requirements:
* Degree or relevant qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Confidence delivering lessons to whole classes
* Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
