About The Role
The Technical Business Consulting role is part of a two-team pre-sales organization. During sales cycles, demonstrations of product functionality are performed by non-technical Business Consultants. Technical Business Consultants support these efforts, particularly when prospects’ IT teams are involved.
Your goal is to build technical preference for Kinaxis solutions by understanding prospects’ needs and articulating how our technology aligns with their requirements.
What you will do
* Serve as the technical SME in sales engagements, focusing on SAP integration, Cloud Architecture, Security, and Product Differentiation.
* Lead discussions, presentations, and demos of features like APIs, Security Roles, Automation, Scripting, and ERP integrations.
* Support PoCs with technical expertise.
* Maintain a virtualized environment for demos supporting our global sales team.
* Engage with RFPs, formulate questions, participate in discovery, and collaborate with teams like Security & Compliance.
* Support regional non-technical Business Consultants with technical issues.
* Improve messaging and content through new presentations and videos.
* Stay updated on industry tech trends via events.
* Support industry events as a technical SME.
* Assist partner sales and implementation teams with pre-sales support.
* Provide feedback to Sales and Product teams.
* Coordinate with Professional Services for deal hand-offs.
* Travel occasionally (~20%) for sales and industry events.
What we are looking for
* Storytelling: Ability to explain complex technical information clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences, from IT teams to C-suite executives.
* Technology Expertise: Experience with ERP systems like SAP ECC, S4, and integration methods such as RFC, ODATA, IDocs, ABAP. Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica, TIBCO, Talend) and cloud technologies (APIs, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake, Salesforce, S3, Power BI).
* Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely delivery.
