The Role
As an Installation Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible to the Installation Team Leader to conduct electrical, data and mechanical installation and maintenance activities at remote sites.
The role also provides short-term resource for various Service Delivery tasks and embedded Task Services Form (TSF) activities. The role does require occasional travel and deployment at locations both in the UK and overseas.
1. To work under the direction of an Installation Team Leader and provide installation, as required, for electrical, data, mechanical and communication equipment at Customer locations.
2. To assist the Installation Team Leader to ensure that all installation related documentation is submitted to the Customer for approval prior to undertaking any installation activities and again on completion of all tasks; including method statements and risk assessments.
3. To ensure that appropriate engineering standards, as dictated by Babcock standards, Customer standards or professional bodies, ensuring best practice is employed in all installation activities.
4. To ensure they work in a safe and efficient manner at all times to produce quality assured products.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home.
Essential Experience of the Installation Technician
5. Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise.
6. Experience of working to safety procedures.
7. Good understanding of COSHH regulations.
8. Must possess a full UK Driving Licence.
