Are you looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Housekeeper to join our team at North Manchester General Hospitals Women's Health departments. This is an exciting and key role in which you will work closely with nursing and domestic staff to ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
You will support the Nursing team by maintaining high standards of infection control. Attributes required include confidence, competence, self-motivation, enthusiasm, and the ability to work as part of a team. Effective communication with patients, clinicians, and healthcare professionals is essential, along with demonstrating high standards.

This position covers the Women's Investigation Unit and Gynaecology Assessment Unit at North Manchester. It is advertised as full-time, but part-time applications will be considered.
Main duties of the job
You will ensure all medical equipment is clean and well maintained, liaising with domestic staff to uphold high cleaning standards. You will play a vital role during clinic hours, ensuring clinics are patient and carer friendly, water dispensers are clean and stocked, and waiting areas are well maintained. You will also ensure clinics have adequate equipment and stock, report estate issues, and request portering services. Basic computer skills are advantageous for ordering supplies and liaising with the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
You will assist in continuous quality improvement by conducting audits and maintaining ward information boards and feedback channels.
As a housekeeper, a high standard of education is required; prior experience in a similar role and good communication skills are essential. The role requires empathy, organization, a positive approach, and the ability to work independently or within a team.
