As a casual chef you will:
1. Be a team player; working as an integral part of our culinary team to ensure everything is running smoothly.
2. Be competent; following recipes and providing meals with quality and consistency.
3. Be a hygiene and allergen champion; following and helping to enforce strict health, hygiene and allergen standards.
4. Be attentive; dealing with deliveries, stock rotation and compliance paperwork.
5. Be adaptable and flexible; assisting the hotel kitchen as and when required.
Ideal candidates will have.
6. At least two years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment
7. Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work.
8. Ability to produce good quality food.
9. Knowledge of Health and Safety, HACCP and allergen reporting
10. Food Safety Level 2 Certification (or equivalent)
11. Good oral communication
12. High level of attention to detail
13. Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you.
14. Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes.
15. Able to self-organise and work cleanly in a small kitchen environment.
