Key Responsibilities
Opening, securing, and general supervision of the school premises during working hours
Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
Monitoring health and safety across the site, reporting hazards or defects
Setting up rooms and areas for lessons, meetings, or events as required
Undertaking basic cleaning and site tidiness duties as needed
Receiving and handling deliveries
Liaising with school staff and external contractors
Supporting emergency procedures where necessary (e.g. fire alarms, evacuations)
Transporting equipment or materials between sites when required
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or site support role (or similar)
Practical DIY and basic maintenance skills
Good understanding of health and safety practices
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
Good communication skills
