The Education Network is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Bradford to recruit an inspirational and committed Head of Year. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or ambitious middle leader to join a supportive and forward-thinking team dedicated to raising aspirations and securing positive outcomes for all students.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the pastoral care, behaviour, and academic progress of a specific year group.
* Work closely with form tutors, subject leaders, and senior staff to ensure students achieve their potential.
* Support the school's vision by promoting high expectations, positive behaviour, and strong attendance.
* Be a visible, approachable, and proactive presence around the school.
* Monitor data and implement strategies to raise achievement and close gaps.
Ideal Candidate
* Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a proven track record of improving outcomes.
* Have strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Demonstrate the ability to inspire, motivate, and support young people.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
* Show resilience, adaptability, and a passion for making a difference in a diverse school community.
