DUTIES Your duties as the Cleaner / Cleaning Operative / Domestic Assistant include: Maintain Clean Environments: Ensure all resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and offices are cleaned to a high standard Follow Cleaning Rotas: Work as part of a rota system to maintain consistent cleanliness throughout the unit Laundry Care: Wash, dry, and change bed linen as scheduled or when required Stock Management: Keep bathrooms and communal areas stocked with essential supplies such as soap and toilet paper Health & Safety: Handle cleaning agents safely and follow all Health and Safety procedures Equipment Reporting: Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues to the management team promptly Infection Control: Follow cleaning protocols to prevent the spread of infection and maintain hygiene standards Team Support: Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a supportive and respectful working environment Resident Care: Treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness at all times Safeguarding Awareness: Report any concerns regarding residents’ welfare in line with safeguarding procedures CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Cleaning Experience: Proven experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or domestic role, ideally within a care or healthcare environment Attention To Detail: A high standard of cleanliness and attention to hygiene and presentation Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow set schedules or rotas Communication Skills: Good interpersonal skills with the ability to engage respectfully with residents and colleagues Health & Safety Knowledge: Awareness of COSHH, infection control, and safe handling of cleaning materials Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work to a consistent standard This role requires a DBS check HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
