We are looking for a Senior LA to join our team in Manchester Supporting team members with general administration, collation of excel spreadsheets, reporting, generation of accept/reject letters to clients, allocation of new files to File Handlers in accordance with capacity set out on the allocation spreadsheet & general support to the team manager & team, including assisting paralegals with caseload where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervision of other LAs to ensure compliance with the demands of the role & ensure policy & processes are followed.
* Ensuring a pro-active and high level of client care and compliance with the National Practice Standards.
* Assisting other team members with document creation & client care as necessary.
* Assisting with file opening & closing as required
* Advising wider team on Tikit step compliance
* Speaking to clients concerning preliminary enquiries and investigation of their matters
* Opening & closing files as required & correcting case steps as needed.
* Ensure time recording is managed to enable achievement of personal targets and support fee earners in the achievement of theirs.
What are we looking for?
* Strong Understanding of Clinical Negligence Law and Practice.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and relevant practice and business IT systems, particularly Partner & PIMS
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including typing skills, the ability to think logically and analytically
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work from various stakeholders
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
