About the role
1. Lead and develop the science department, driving high standards across all key stages
2. Support and mentor teaching staff within the department to improve teaching and learning
3. Plan, deliver, and monitor a broad and engaging science curriculum
4. Analyse data to track student progress and implement strategies for improvement
5. Promote a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and scientific enquiry across the school
6. Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments, assessment changes, and best practice

Who we are looking for
13. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
14. Proven experience in teaching science at secondary level
15. Previous experience in a leadership or departmental lead role within science
16. Strong subject knowledge and passion for inspiring young scientists
17. Excellent communication, mentoring, and team-working skills
18. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting student achievement
