We are currently seeking an experienced Projects / Contracts Manager to join our team at R1 Construction. About the Role
As a Projects / Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects from pre-start through to completion and handover. Working closely with site teams, commercial staff, and clients, you will play a key role in driving performance, managing risk, and maintaining strong client relationships.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Projects Manager or Contracts Manager within the construction industry
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, contract administration, and health & safety requirements
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
* Strong commercial awareness and cost control experience
* Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems
Job Description
* Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
* Oversee site teams, ensuring works are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality expectations
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times
* Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
* Monitor project performance, identifying and managing risks and opportunities
* Work closely with commercial teams on cost control, variations, and final accounts
* Support procurement activities and subcontractor management
* Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice across the business
