About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and reliable KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Durham. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, offering an excellent opportunity to support pupils’ learning and make a real difference in the classroom.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide targeted support to pupils, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in the delivery of lessons across Key Stage 2
* Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning and boost progress
* Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning atmosphere
* Prepare learning materials and contribute to lesson planning where appropriate
* Support pupils with additional needs to ensure every child achieves their full potential
Requirements
âś… Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
âś… Experience working with KS2 pupils in a primary school setting
âś… Excellent communication and teamwork skills
âś… A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
âś… Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
