A friendly and inclusive SEND school in the Bury area is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. This full-time role will involve providing 1:1 support for a child with additional needs.
About the Role:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with SEN
Assist in managing routines, learning activities, and transitions
In the afternoons, support the wider classroom under the guidance of the class teacher
Help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and other professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working 1:1 with children with SEND (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
Is calm, patient, and supportive in approach
Holds a relevant TA qualification (Level 2/3 preferred)
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
