Position: Head of HR - Industrial Group
Location: South West England (hybrid)
Overview:
Our client is a leading industrial group with offices and staff worldwide. We are searching for a Head of HR for a new Business Unit based in SW England. This is a newly created role to become a key member of the leadership team reporting to C level.
The role is hybrid and a large amount of flexibility for the right candidate but you have to be based in SW England (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset or Somerset) in order to be available for onsite meetings.
Responsibilities Include:
* Strong HR leader to design, implement and drive HR for the UK industrial business during a period of start-up, funding rounds and rapid growth
* Building and leading a world class HR department including: Strategy, Policies, Business Partnering, HR Operations, Talent Attraction and Management, International Assignments, Culture, Reward…
* Key part of the UK leadership team and business partner to C level
* Ability to be hands-on and lead HR operations during start-up and growth phases
* Responsible for the overall management of the UK office in partnership with the GM
* Leading many projects in particular processes, systems, HR administration, reward..
Candidate Requirements:
* Educated to degree standard or equivalent, Masters degree or professional qualification an advantage
* Expert in UK labour law
* At least 15 years HR leadership experience in a dynamic industrial environment (engineering, manufacturing, oil, gas, mining, construction….) and providing a world class people service to the business
* Experience leading HR through rapid company growth, start-up, funding rounds, green/brown field sites
* Proven experience of international assignments and onboarding global employees into the UK
* Excellent business partnering skills and ability to work with senior management - coaching and becoming a trusted advisor
* Outstanding communication skills – positive influencing skills
* Flexible and agile mentality
* Able to travel as well as be onsite (hybrid) as the UK business grows
