Are you a Materials Engineer or Metallurgist with experience in forging, heat treatment, process control, and metallurgical investigation looking to take the next step in your career within a specialist manufacturing environment? Responsibilities
* Process control across forging and heat treatment operations
* Investigate mechanical test failures and produce corrective/rework plans
* Monitor trends, identify root causes, and implement preventative actions
* Perform metallography for routine testing and failure investigations
* Support quality with audits, non‑conformance investigations, and SOP reviews
* Provide technical support to customers, estimating, sales and production teams
* Assist with R&D and continuous improvement projects
* Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental procedures
Qualifications
* Metallurgical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering qualification (HNC/Degree or similar)
* Experience within forging, heat treatment or ferrous manufacturing environments preferred
* Strong understanding of metallurgical principles and failure investigation techniques
