Job Description: Maintenance Fitter
Our client, a leading manufacturer supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland, is recruiting a Maintenance Fitter. This role involves carrying out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production. The position offers a Monday to Friday day shift, providing a great opportunity for those looking to avoid shift work. Overtime hours are paid at a premium rate for over 40 hours worked.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
* Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
* Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
2. Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize machinery downtime
3. Fault finding and root cause analysis
4. Execute planned maintenance and contribute to scheduling
5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance
6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software
7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and health & safety
8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production setting
* Strong mechanical skills, including welding and fitting
* Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors
* Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
