Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position is essential for supporting food preparation, assisting chefs, and ensuring that all kitchen areas are kept in pristine condition. A passion for food service and hospitality is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
* Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients.
* Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
* Support chefs during busy service periods by providing timely assistance.
* Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
* Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas regularly to maintain hygiene standards.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is required.
* Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
* Strong cleaning skills with attention to detail to ensure a spotless environment.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
* A team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards hospitality.
