The Opportunity
We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Installer / Electrical Engineer to join a growing renewables team based in Cornwall.
This role is ideal for someone experienced in solar PV installation, electrical maintenance, and renewable energy systems, looking to work on varied and exciting projects nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on renewable energy assets, including solar PV and wind turbine sites.
* Monitor and review system performance on a rota basis, including some weekend cover.
* Identify, record, and resolve electrical faults with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* Manage and complete Low Voltage (LV) electrical design and installation.
* Analyse performance data and suggest operational improvements.
* Produce accurate technical documentation and maintenance reports.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* City & Guilds 2365-02/03 (or equivalent qualification or higher).
* City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent inspection and testing qualification).
* BS7671 18th Edition.
* Excellent communication, organisation and troubleshooting skills.
* Competent with computers and reporting software.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Willingness to travel across the UK, including some evening and weekend work.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical or renewable energy sector.
Desirable Experience
* Solar PV installation and maintenance background.
* Experience using CAD software.
* Knowledge of communications setup and configuration for monitoring systems.
* Exposure to High Voltage (HV) systems and grid-connected infrastructure.
