As our Head of Motor Operations (Claims), you'll be a key member of the Claims Senior Leadership Team. You will oversee a dynamic department of over 150 people Your leadership will be instrumental in harmonising our operational activities with our strategic objectives, ensuring we meet and exceed our targets for indemnity spend for our in house insurer as well as EBITDA for Accident Assist, the AA’s accident management business. Moreover, you'll champion our mission to deliver exceptional customer service that sets the industry standard.
What will I be doing?
* Leadership & Innovation: Lead our Accidental Damage and Third Party Claims teams, focusing on strategic indemnity management and maximising income through innovative recovery efforts.
* Process Design & Efficiency: Develop a streamlined claims process that emphasises proactive management, cost control, and operational efficiency.
* Strategic Oversight: Govern Accidental Damage and Third Party Claims, fostering a culture of indemnity management, recovery optimisation and expenditure oversight.
* Customer Service Excellence: Lead the charge in delivering top-tier customer service, meeting and exceeding operational and commercial targets.
* Insightful Reporting: Generate comprehensive management reports that drive informed decision-making and cross-departmental cooperation.
* Resource Utilisation: Manage resources to enhance revenue, reduce costs, and maintain high service and regulatory standards.
What do I need?
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
* Demonstrated Leadership: Proven track record of leading successful teams, in the motor claims sector, with experience in managing other people managers.
* Industry Knowledge: A background in motor insurance and/or accident management
* Change Management: Proven ability to guide teams through periods of change, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
* Technical Expertise: Knowledge of product and claims covering the insurance principles.
* Communication Mastery: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, with the ability to tailor your approach to effectively influence others.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to forge strong networks and influence at all levels, showcasing your stakeholder management expertise.
