Simply Education is seeking a dynamic and resilient Behaviour support Teaching Assistant to join and work collaboratively in alternative provisions. The successful candidate will support vulnerable students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic success.
This role requires adaptability, empathy, and a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies. Some of our students have additional attachment and trauma response so the successful teaching assistant must be prepared to invest the time and patience in our students to promote the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Motivate the pupils and promote and reinforce self esteem.
Provide 1:1 support for pupils experiencing emotional/behavioural crisis
Support pupils and encourage them to make the appropriate choices about their behaviour
Establish and maintain professional working relationships with students and staff
