Job Description
This is a fixed term contract (no day/hourly rates) based in Bath on a hybrid working model (3 days on site2 remote). This role will include international travel.
This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of Dynamics 365 and the associated engineering optimisation programme as a technical SME. The Logistics SME will work with the global sites to ensure they are aligned with best practices as part of entity readiness, and ensure they are ready to deploy D365
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:
* Execute Rotork Business System Audits in readiness for system implementation, develop GAP analysis detail and deliver & execute a programme to remove gaps prior to system deployment.
* Act as a point of contact for the D365 Implementation Programme and as the conduit between the programme and the Operations Function for the Logistics & Warehouse functional area.
* Coordinate/provide the relevant SME/functional resources as required to support delivery of the D365 /Target Operating Model transformation programme.
* Provide knowledge transfer & continued support for business process/D365 to Rotork Factory sites.
* Lead Global, Site Leadership and SMEs through change management to adopt the core D365 operations solution.
* Work with Subject Matter Experts to define/validate/sign off requirements/deliverables to ensure our solution meets global best practice or local needs.
* Hold & report upon the consolidated Operations view of progress against solution & business readiness for functional area.
* Drive through activities & decisions as required to be able to sign off solution & business readiness.
* Support coordination of Operations cutover activities for Rotork Factory sites
* Support the upgrade and implementation of other operations systems as required.
* Maintain business process maps for operations.
* Support and Govern Site readiness for sites in transition.
Process
* Work with the Central operations team, SMEs and Enterprise Architects to maintain and continuously improve operations processes based on best practice.
* Ensure the Operations process and standard operating procedures library is kept up to date, developing new documentation where required.
Change Management/Localisations Capture
* Prepare the content for any change management workshops, taking users through the key areas of change, drawing out high level discussion on potential changes between as "is" and "to be".
* Develop questionnaires to identify any:
o Concerns local teams have about implementing the change.
o Gaps between the global process and their needs
o Unique local requirements
* Drive through process standardisation, optimisation & best practice on each site.
* Work with the Operations Transition manager to consider if change from the global process can be accepted and if the difference will be managed through configuration or Change Management
* Where additional localisation is required, work with the Operations Team, IT to translate Operations needs into system configuration requirements.
* Where the change from current ways of working needs to be managed, identify, monitor and manage any actions required to prepare for and embed the change.
* Ongoing support of Rotork sites to ensure readiness for Go live of D365.
Qualifications
Essential
* Minimum 5 years working in Warehouse management in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience of manufacturing material management and replenishment procedures.
* Comfort working in a high-pressure environment, in agile and dynamic way to tackle unexpected & emerging issues.
* Demonstrable track record, and sufficient gravitas and experience, to deliver positive, high impact business outcomes and change.
* Experience working on a substantial change project or upgrade of an ERP system.
* Experience managing senior internal & external stakeholders to provide information, drive decisions and resolve issues.
