We welcome applications in a rare opportunity to join us in a GP Partnership role at Potterells Medical Centre. Due to planned retirement in April 2026, we are seeking 2 new Partners to join our team for 6 to 8 sessions per week each.
Main duties of the job
As a GP partner you will play a pivotal role in bothclinical care and strategic leadership. You will be involved in shaping thefuture of the practice, contributing to decision-making and ensuring thedelivery of safe, effective and compassionate healthcare. We recognise theopportunities but also the challenges of starting a career as a GP Partner. Youwill be offered a full induction period, regular monitoring sessions and accessto relevant training courses. The successful candidate will be expected to shareownership of the premises.

We are a large, well established training practice based in North Mymms, Hertfordshire with easy access to the A1M. We serve a total population of around 17,400 patients with a branch surgery at the University of Hertfordshire, serving 8000 registered students.

Our clinical team includes 6 GP Partners, 5 Salaried GPs, 4 Prescribing Nurses, 1 Practice nurse, 2 Health Care Assistants, ARRS Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician, Social Prescribers, Care Co-Ordinator,Health and Wellbeing Coaches and First Contact Physiotherapy.

Job responsibilities
Therewill be a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent uponfactors such as workload and staffing levels:
* a.Thedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
* b.Theprovision of services commensurate with the GP contract
* c.Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
* d.Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
* e.Processadministration in a timely manner including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks
* f.Workcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
* g.Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
* h.Takeresponsibility for continuous improvement and quality initiatives within theorganisation
* i.Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
* j.Attendand contribute effectively to external and internal meetings as required
* k.Contributeeffectively to the development and maintenance of the organisation includingclinical governance, training, financial management and HR
* l.Prepareand complete the revalidation process to remain fit to practice
* m.Reviewand adhere to practice protocols and policies at all times
* n.Encouragecollabor working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a cultureof continuous improvement
* o.Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
* p.Contributeto the effective management of the organisation including administration,planning, strategy, resilience planning etc.

Qualifications
* - Qualified GP
* - MRCGP
* - Full GMC Registration without restrictions
* - National Performers List Registrations
* - Eligibility to practice int he UK independently
Experience
* - At least 1 years post-CCT experience as a GP in a UK general practice, demonstrating proficiency in managing a wide range of primary care conditions including chronic diseases, acute presentations and preventive care.
* - Experience or enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring as our practice supports GP trainees
