Pay Range £50,000 Working Hours/Pattern: Full-time, although we would be happy to consider applicants who are looking to work on a part time basis. Job Description We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with deep expertise in Atlassian JIRA to guide Agile teams in delivering high‑quality products efficiently and predictably. The ideal candidate excels at fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and ensuring Agile principles are consistently practiced across the organisation. Please note, internal applications for this role close on 17/02/2026 Key Responsibilities Agile Facilitation & Team Leadership Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Coach teams and stakeholders on Agile values, practices, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean). Protect the team from scope creep and ensure clear sprint commitments and accountability. Support BA's with ticket refinement, adhere to and maintain DOR and DOD JIRA Ownership & Optimization Serve as the JIRA subject-matter expert, ensuring optimal use of JIRA across teams. Lead and co-ordinate Monthly version regression testing via X-ray and feature testing with SME's each sprint Configure and maintain JIRA projects, workflows, boards, dashboards, custom fields, and automations. Partner with Product Owners to ensure clean, well‑structured product backlogs within JIRA. Generate and analyse JIRA reports (burndown, velocity, cumulative flow, sprint reports) to drive continuous improvement. Train team members and stakeholders on JIRA best practices and usage. Process Improvement & Delivery Support Identify process bottlenecks and drive initiatives to improve delivery throughput and predictability. Collaborate with Product Owners to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization. Track and remove impediments to ensure uninterrupted progress. Support cross‑team coordination in scaled Agile environments (e.g., SAFe, Scrum@Scale). Stakeholder & Communication Management Communicate team progress, risks, and dependencies with clarity and transparency. Facilitate healthy team dynamics, conflict resolution, and continuous learning. Partner with engineering leads, product, and business stakeholders to align expectations and delivery outcomes. Required Qualifications 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead. Advanced proficiency in Atlassian JIRA, including administration, workflow design, dashboards, filters (JQL), and automations. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean). Experience coaching cross-functional teams in Agile best practices. Excellent communication, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications JIRA Administration certification or equivalent hands-on admin experience. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM I/II, or equivalent Agile certification. Experience with Confluence, JIRA Service Management, or integration of Agile tools. Background in software development, QA, or technical project management. Experience working in a scaled Agile environment (e.g., SAFe, LeSS). Success Traits Advocate for transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
