The Graduate Consultant position within Crayon UKs Cloud Practice is an entry level position which sits across both the technical customer engagement and relationship (presales) as well as the implementation and technical delivery of multi cloud solutions (delivery). Primarily based within the delivery team, this role will work through the Crayon graduate programme which will lead to understanding the configuration and deployment (and troubleshooting where necessary) of technical solutions and components within projects of varying scale, scope and complexity. The role will initially specialise in one of the following disciplines, (Azure, Modern Work, AWS, FinOps), but over time, rotation opportunities will happen through different team pods to gain exposure in all disciplines. As part of a fast growing and evolving professional services practice, the Graduate Consultant will work closely with Architects and Consultants to help ensure that project deliverables remain accurate, on time and within budget. This might also involve assisting with the creation of solution or high-level designs or operational support guides for a customer deployment, team templates and content. As part of this programme, the role also offers great exposure to working with our sales teams, with presales opportunities to build customer confidence in helping to qualify and develop leads, as well as support in the creation of key documents such as Statement of Works or in customer workshops. Over time, the role will offer technical best practise guidance and experience for project deployment, as well as be able to make recommendations against vendor frameworks and sales proposals. As part of this programme, there is additional support and development through a clear learning pathway throughout. This includes developing soft skills, leadership skills and ongoing support from a senior business mentor. Over time, the role will offer guidance and experience on best practises and build readiness for the next step on the career path. K EY R ESPONSIBILITIES Implement Microsoft/AWS based solutions in accordance with designs. Present solutions and options to customers. Participate in customer facing workshops and discussions. Support the sales process in creating content and recommendations for solutions, providing proposals, high-level designs, and Statements of Work Participate in product and solution development as part of Crayons drive to bring innovative, products, workload and solution accelerators to market. Collaborate with an Azure/Aws/Modern Work focused team of Consultants. Actively participate in project delivery, supporting planning, design, delivery as required. Act as escalation point for the Crayon Service Desk. Collaborate with the wider cloud practice, to accelerate customer journeys and build a strong consulting capability and practice within Crayon UK (and globally). Maintain accurate presales activities within D365 Sales CRM. Support with writing Statement of Works. Support consultative workshops to help customers understand different solutions available and lead to a scope that meets the customer needs. You will have a basic understanding of what IaaS, PaaS and SaaS is in relation to the hyper-scalers, (Microsoft, AWS, Google) You will have basic working knowledge of networking principals. You will have degree level knowledge of databases, design & administration. You will have a willingness to study for industry accreditations, (e.g. Microsoft, AWS and other vendor certifications) E DUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Degree in Computer Science or Business systems 2:1 or above or HND in IT related subject Merit or Distinction OTHER REQUIREMENTS Crayon UK operates a flexible hybrid working policy.
