The new appointment will join a team of nine Medical Gastroenterologists, sharing responsibility for managing both inpatients and outpatients. The department is lively, innovative, and cohesive.

The trust hosts the South Devon Bowel Cancer Screening Centre, providing the national screening programme to the local population, with pre-assessment and colonoscopy services at Torbay and Derriford Hospitals.
Torbay Hospital is part of the South West Endoscopy Training Academy (SWETA), offering nationally recognized endoscopic skills and simulation training.
The Successful Candidate Will
* Work closely with consultant staff in related specialties, e.g., GI surgery.
* Contribute to audit and research within the specialty.
* Participate in training of trainees and medical students.
* Supervise trainees clinically and educationally.
* Undertake CME/CPD as per Royal College of Physicians guidelines.
* Contribute to clinical governance.
