Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with specialist provisions and inclusive schools across Greater Manchester to recruit an experienced Senior SEND Specialist to support children and young people with complex and diverse additional needs. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in SEND coordination, mental health support, speech and language needs, and behaviour intervention who is looking to take on a highly rewarding, influential position within a supportive setting. The Role: This is a varied, hands-on role where you will combine direct pupil support with wider inclusion and intervention responsibilities. Depending on the setting, you may: Lead targeted interventions for pupils with complex learning, communication, and social-emotional needs Support early identification, referrals, and the graduated response process Deliver and oversee personalised programmes linked to EHCP outcomes Provide speech, language, and communication support strategies across the setting Support behaviour management, emotional regulation, and de-escalation approaches Contribute to and attend CAFs, Early Help meetings, PCPs, and annual reviews Support staff with differentiation, resource development, and inclusive practice Act as a key point of contact between families, school staff, and external professionals This role would strongly suit someone who has: Extensive experience supporting pupils with SEND across specialist or inclusive settings A background in SEN support, SENCo assistance, or inclusion work Training in mental health, speech and language needs, and behaviour support Experience with ASD, ADHD, attachment, SEMH, SpLD, MLD, SLD, and PMLD Confidence contributing to multi-agency working and review processes Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, adaptable, solution-focused approach Why work with Tradewind?
