Our client, a leading provider of engineering training, is currently seeking a Welding Instructor to join their expanding team. With training centres in Hull and Grimsby, our client works with over 300 client companies to deliver Level 3 engineering apprenticeships and upskilling programmes. Partnering with some of the biggest names in engineering and manufacturing, they play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of engineering talent locally, regionally, and nationally. Key Responsibilities: Promoting and supporting apprenticeships Training young people through engineering study and apprenticeship programmes Delivering regulated qualifications (comprehensive training and support will be provided) Using personal and industry experience to guide learners to achieve their full potential Job Requirements: Knowledge of welding, pipe fitting, plating, and sheet metal work, with expertise in one of these disciplines Qualified to City & Guilds Craft certificate or equivalent Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices and procedures Excellent interpersonal and computer skills A passion for teaching, empowering learners, and sharing personal and professional experiences Desirable Qualifications: Assessor and teaching qualifications (not essential as full training will be provided) Certified TWI coded weld inspector/trainer (not essential as full training will be provided) If you don't already have assessor or teaching qualifications, don't worry! We'll support your journey to becoming a qualified instructor through a structured teacher training programme and guidance from our dedicated Teaching & Learning team. It is essential that the successful candidate is willing to undertake additional qualifications. The cost of which will be met by our client. Location and Travel: This position is to cover both our Hull and Grimsby training centres. A valid driving licence and access to your own transport is essential as regular travel between centres will be necessary.
