How you’ll help us make health happen: Report to a qualified nurse, any changes in a patient’s condition that may require nursing intervention. Refer patients’, relatives’, and colleagues’ queries to the Nursing Staff. Accompany patients (including their friends and relatives) between Departments. Assist patients with eating and drinking when required. Assist in patient hygiene and elimination procedures. Transport Clinical specimens / Prescription charts, as directed, to the relevant departments. Enter requests on the computer as directed. Provide direct basic technical assistance to medical staff as and when required. Assist with observation and collection of specimens. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: NVQ Level 2 or Health and Social Care Level 3. Healthcare Assistant experience in a ward setting. Hospital experience required. Competent with Venepuncture/Phlebotomy and ECGs. Caring and compassionate individual. Good communication skills, supportive and approachable. Why Bupa?
